Ducks of Tasmania

Tasmania is home to 11 species of native ducks. Some are full time residents, while others are occasional visitors and can be a challenge to find.

Derwent Estuary Program, BirdLife Tasmania, Pacific Black Duck Conversation Group and local councils collaborated on a new booklet to help people identify ducks in Tasmania, and learn a bit about their diets, antics and how to keep them safe an healthy.
