Proposed Amendments to the Southern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy 2010-2035

Public Consultation — August 10–23 2013

The 12 Southern Tasmanian Councils are proposing to undertake a number of amendments to the Southern Tasmania Regional Land Use Strategy 2010-2035 and are now seeking public comments on the proposed amendments.

The Regional Land Use Strategy forms an important part of the strategic foundation of the new planning schemes currently being prepared by the Southern Councils.

The consultation period will run from August 10-23, during which time interested members of the public are invited to view the proposed amendments and provide comments on them.

Following the consultation period, the Councils — through the Southern Tasmania Regional Planning Project — will take into consideration the comments received and subsequently prepare a draft amended Regional Land Use Strategy for submission to the Minister for Planning for consideration.
